Nice job as usual Dan.....I hope to make the next one.......take care
Hi Guys, : I pulled up some images of Michelle from my workshop at the recent AZ Shootout. For those that didn't make it, : the topic was multiple lights in a set up. We defined the different categories of lighting as: Main Light, : Separation Light, and Background Light. In the past I have focused on the main light and balancing main lighting : to available light. This time I wanted to show a serviceable 3-light set up that is often a good starting point when : you are struggling with a glamour shoot. : In this shot, I used a Large softbox on camera right as main light. This gives her a soft sidelight : (with a little of the Rembrandt effect we talked about). The separation light, a Medium softbox, is on camera left : and behind her aiming roughly at the main light, basically forming a line from Separation light to Model to : Main light which gives the highlights that define her jawline, shoulders and abs in the shot. The : background light is an open reflector aimed at the sculpture behind her at roughly the same exposure : as the main which preserves the color in the scene which otherwise would have been considerably darker. : Give me a shout if you want more information about the set-up.
