Here is an explanation for some questions you might have about the Arizona ShootOut
What will the photographer to model ratio be?
We are expecting to have around a 3:2 photographer/model ratio.
Will the models be doing figure/nude work?
Many of the models we have booked will be available to do figure/nude work. However each model may have her own restrictions and/or requirements for
posing nude, and might not pose nude during our scheduled shooting.
Will the models be expecting prints or scans?
Many will. We all hope they want to see the great photos you take of them. The models will be working hard and this is a great way to show your appreciation.
What can I use the photos for?
You will be able to use the images for self-promotion, but if you want to re-sell or use images on a pay site, you would need to work that out with each model.
You will be given a general release that you will be responsible for having the models that you shoot sign.
Can I get an unlimited release?
We are letting everyone know that they are free to work out unlimited releases with each model, assuming of course that you are prepared to pay the model
an extra arranged amount.
Will Alan be bringing more SoCal Pro Models?
Alan has assured us that he will definitely be bringing many of his pretty girls from www.socalpromodels.com.
Will I be able to contact the models before the shoot?
All the models have websites and/or contact email addresses on a web page for attendees, so you may ask them questions or arrange
other shoots in the days before, or after, our shoot.
Are beginners welcome?
Yes, the Arizona ShootOut is a great place to learn about glamour photography. We always have workshops, and there are always plenty of great
photographers to ask questions... and to learn from.
Will models be staying after the shoot for possible additional paying jobs?
We are trying to let everyone know that this is a great way to network and hook up other shoots while they are in Phoenix. It would be best to contact models
in advance to ensure that they allow an extra day or two to work with interested photographers. If anyone needs help finding out who wants to stay, and who is
looking for more modeling jobs, we will be updating the site with this information.
Will I need to rent a car if I fly in to Phoenix?
Most out of town attendees that fly in to Phoenix rent a car. However, the Friday evening orientation would be
a great place set up transportation if you don't feel the need to rent your own car. It's easy to get a ride from the hotel to the shoot, as most models and
photographers go to the shoot location around the same time in the morning. Getting back to the airport for your return flight Sunday evening might be a bit
more work, unless you make sure your flight leaves after 9PM or so.
Will I need lighting equipment?
Yes and No. Most of the shooting is planned for outside, but there should be one indoor location for shooting, so you might want to bring your favorite softbox or whatever.
If you plan on using fill flash by all means bring something portable. And reflectors and stands are always helpful outside. We will not be bringing lighting for general use.
I still have more questions...
If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask...
